What about the anode rod? Everytime we winterize we pull it out and use a reverse water pic to push out the debris in the bottom of the tank too.

I have an Atwood water heater, so no worries because it doesn't use an anode rod.

If you have a Suburban, then you will have to just keep pulling the rod out when you want to drain your tank.

What makes this better than the Camco?

ronspradley.
1. the ends, made of aluminum, are much more robust. Nearly all leaks in the Camco hoses were due to the ends splitting along the threads or simply coming apart.
2. rated at 600 psi burst strength
3. non-kinking
4. folds up into a smaller bundle for storage

The hose I replaced had started leaking at the female fitting where the two pieces are crimped together.

Which one did you purchase? I noticed that only 3 of the 5 listed on Amazon can be used for drinking water.

Wow, a 2916, sure would like to see pictures of that model year bus! Heck, I bet Bob would like to see that too.

Adding on - I moved my Camcos out to the well-house when I need to run an extension hose to the RV to prepare for an outing. Due to mature trees, we can't get the coach closer to our softwater source when filling up the water tank.

The Aqua Joe's I found to be much lighter and easier to coil, uncoil, lift, store. They don't crimp. They're just superior in many ways to the old-style hose. You won't regret changing over. I'd recommend getting 2 25' length hoses since most of the time you're only going to use one of them.

Bought new 2022 GDRV 17MKE and had delivered to driveway 7/28/22.

Since then we have been admiring the beauty and prepping for first, a 3 night shakedown without any hookups at the beach, and then a round trip from RI to Austin, TX for 3 weeks in October. That trip will be Harvest Host stops while enroute, 7 nights in CG in Austin, and more HH stops on the return trip. We might do a 3 night with hookups in between.

The list of what we have bought for her (IRVina) is extensive, including:

2022 GMC Yukon SLT (Diesel) (Irving) to tow with
Anderson WDH
LevelMatePro
Anderson Leveler blocks
MasterLock Trailer Lock (so no one can hitch and run)
TireLINK TPMS
EZ Coupler Valve Cap w/ Handle (for waste drain)
AcuRite Digital Wireless Fridge and Freezer Thermometer with Alarm
Ultra ES Pro Bluetooth Electronic Lock
Clearsource Premier RV Water Filter System
RV Cup Holder Button Guard and Cover for Thomas Payne
Camco Heavy Duty Double Battery Box with Straps and Hardware
12 Inches Battery Iverter Cables Set with Terminals
2nd Interstate SRM-24 81AH 140RC 690 MCA Deep Cycle Battery

This list does not include several incidental security, kitchen, bedding, decor, etc items.

Everything but the battery were purchased through Amazon.
