Just paid to have our unit washed, waxed and detailed before we put it to bed till the end of Feb. when we head south for a month. Sure looks good but it's going to be a long 4 months before we can use it again.

At least you're a good 2 months ahead of when we'll wake ours up from the winterized/bedtime we put ours into today.
So, what's we buy? 7 gal of the pink stuff, a gallon of distilled water (to top off the batteries) & a Swiffer to clean the floors as I made my way out the door & locked it until Spring arrives.

Two Valterra drain valves with new cables for the black and bathroom gray tanks. I have been dumping vegetable oil in the waste tanks to keep the valves free but it got to be too often with the black tank this season. This is the reason for my now lengthy and current thread on how to REALLY clean a black tank. Today/tomorrow may be the changeout days if it doesn't rain

Vinyl gutter awning protection for storage
My awnings don't have any protection from the elements while in storage. Also, I've gotten tired of water wicking in between the awning layers from rain and the resulting mold while the trailer is in storage. I saw a post on another forum about using "K" style gutters to make a cover. I finally got around to applying the idea to my trailer. 4 10' sections of gutter covered both my awning and my slide toppers. Basically, the gutter snaps onto the trailer gutter to hold the vinyl gutter in place. A bit of trimming on the vinyl allowed for overlap on the longer awning and clearance for the trailer awning arms. They won't stay in place while driving but are more than secure enough for use while in storage...

Bought the RV today. The first accessory was a trailer brake controller.

Spent a wad today. Besides oil changes in the engine and generator, new pressure switch for the Spendid, new brakes, new suspension bellows, new water pump belt and had the valves adjusted on the Cat. Now to go another 100,000 miles without dumping money in her.

I bought 4 of these replacement water pump lights https://amzn.to/2qZ1O3B to replace burned out ones. As they are LED you may need to turn them around due to polarity if they don't work after installing them. I thought the first one I installed was bad then I remembered that some LED bulbs are polarity sensitive and tried it reveres and was pleasantly surprised that it worked after that. I am guessing the originals weren't LED. -Bill

In May we bought a different motorhome, a 43' Newmar Mountain Aire. Since my previous 40' Winnebago Journey barely made the corner on the bottom of our driveway, which cuts at 90 degrees to a narrow country road at a steep incline, so I have to watch my turn carefully to be sure I don't drop off a 10' embankment or over the culverts and into the ditch as well as the back end dragging, I had a feeling this new one was not going to make it without some road alterations. It was close, but no cigar, so my latest purchase for the motor home was some significant driveway work just to get it in and out safely! In addition, I added 6' to the length of our pole barn shed on the RV storage side to ensure full enclosure of the unit. While these things aren't on or in the RV itself, these purchases were for the RV. I like having my RV right next to the house plugged in and under cover, so while a bit of an expensive spend, it was well worth it to me. :-)

Can I ask, why the pink antifreeze if you’ve blown out the lines.
I do add some to the p-traps and the toilet bowl after blowing water out.
Perhaps your doing the same.
If not..
Do you pull it through the system after you’ve blown out the remaining water?

1. Because I don't want any surprises if residual water pools in low areas or valves. Pay $21 for 7 gal of AF or pay $$$$ when the Spring thaw reveals a leak. It's a no-brainer.
2. Because blowing out doesn't get the water out of any pump but the fresh tank pump. I have a toilet, dishwasher & washer, all with pumps.
