I wish! This Oregon State campground has 130 spaces, all of them back in.

I watched that happen at our last outting. Almost the exact same scenario, except the guy who was trying to back his rig in, pulled it off the road to let other campers through. Ya his DW was having a hissy fit, he was having one back at her for her having one. Took about 45 minutes before he got it right and the campground super came and told him......Get This!.....He was in the wrong spot!

Sounds like you were very patient. I think I might have reversed out or even drove the wrong way just to escape on time. First few times out with our 5 wheeler we picked campgrounds with pull through sites even after some mall parking lot practice. DH got pretty good at it by the time we sold it but now every time he parks the m/h in a tight spot he comments how much easier it is.

Was given a site in Niagara Falls a while back.

Hard to explain. It was supposed to be a pull thru but I could see that couldn't happen due to the trees etc
So I attempted to back in and shoe horned is the correct description. Turned out it was a 30 amp site for a 26 ft camper not a 40' DP.
You Americans are far too polite for your own good I reckon.
20 minutes is completely insane.
If I couldn't back in in 5 minutes I'd be going around the loop. I couldn't imagine holding someone up for that long.
