when buying a used motorhome

What is the very first thing you look for when buying a used motorhome?
This is what I do. Anyone can do this, your not looking to fix anything; just looking.

#1 before even going in the motorhome; (I always take a large piece of cardboard with me),
get down and look very carefully for any type of fluid leaks; such as oil from the motor, transmission leaks, raditor leaks, look at all the wheels for brake fluid leaks.

After this inspection: it's time to open the door;
#2 any strange smells; meldew; dog or cat; or smoking;
#3 look up at the sealing; any stains; (most likley from roof leaks) if stained badly its time to take a walk; thank the folks for showing you the motorhome and leave.
#4 if the motorhome has passed the leak , look and smell test its time to start it up. (of course if the floor plan is what you are looking for)
All this even before the hagglening on price begins.
A low milage is prefered but not a clincher

OK fellows add what you look for in a used motorhome.

I look down the outside by laying my head against the side and looking down the length (up and down) to see if I can detect any delamination by sight. If it is delaminating then I know...to skip it.

Someone just posted a good one on a related thread... check your weights. Make sure you'll be getting the CCC you need.
