Thanks all for the replies.

I had thought about Max Air vents and besides the cost I read some very poor reviews.

I am thinking of using the Camco poly Carb vent covers.

My previous rig, a 2016 Coachmen, had three of the four vent lids develop inch-long splits near the hinges. I had all four replaced and added MaxAir covers to all four. Problem solved.

Then three months later traded it in on a new one.

I replaced both of the vent covers last year. Kind of surprised at that as the rig was only a year old then.
I did put the Maxx-Aire covers over both of them soon after.
