Where to stop on way from Bryce to Yellowstone
Okay, so we are doing a long (5 week) trip across several western states next summer. It may seem like a long time from now, but I'm a planner and am planning the trip now. So far, we are heading from the Los Angeles area to Joshua Tree, to the Grand Canyon/Williams/Sedona, to Page, to Bryce and then to Yellowstone. We are are looking for a stop in between. We have two kids, ages 12 and 14. I'm thinking we should break up the national parks with something different. I'm open to just about anything. Please let me know if you have any good recommendations!
Thanks a ton my fellow RVrs!

Don't miss Zion, Capital Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches. There are a few places to stop along the way.

If you do all of the suggested stops you won't have five weeks to do it all, remember you got to return from Yellowstone. That's a looong way from home. You're going to be tired out before you leave Yellowstone.

If you want something different from the national parks why not just spend a few days in the Salt Lake City area. There are many family centered attractions to excite the kids plus there dining and shopping activities everyone should enjoy.

Jordanelle State Park in Utah is very nice and you can do a nice day trip to Park City, home of a past winter Olympics. It's very interesting.
Definitely stop a few days in Grand Teton Nat'l Park just before getting to Yellowstone. It's completely different in looks and things to do. Take a gentle raft trip in the Snake River in the park and you just might see a moose in the river alongside you. We did! For a wilder raft trip, take one out of the town of Jackson. There's a ski chairlift ride in Jackson and lots of trinket shopping along with a rodeo. The hiking trails in the Tetons are gorgeous leading you to picturesque lakes.
Each national park has an excellent web site so check them out. They'll give you ideas on things to do, campgrounds, road information and lots more.
Here's the site from Grand Teton Nat'l Park: https://www.nps.gov/grte/index.htm

My kids still talk about swimming in the Great Salt Lake. You can't sink!
