Where to Wash RV on the road

Any suggestions on where to wash your RV when you are on the road? $400 a pop for detailing gets a little expensive.

Try this. It’s a pretty decent list of truck and trailer washes.

You can also use a waterless wash. I've been using Simple Reflections. It does a pretty good job, shines it like a polish, and can be done anywhere. Just need to get some good microfiber cloths for it - or buy the kit that comes with some premium microfibers.

There are several "systems" where you can maintain your rig clean with waterless cleaning

One system is "Wash Wax All" by Aero Cosmetics. This system has been used on small planes for many years.

The system has a extension handle with replacable pads. You can quickly go over your rig and clean it off and shine it up

I suggest this requires regular cleaning. if you let your rig get really bad then this isn't the way to go

For a simple wash and wax, we use Blue Beacons, which we have found to be reasonably priced.

Many Truck washes will do it. You need to go to one that will not use acid.
The one I go to can change to non-acid water and decrease the pressure to 130-150PSI
I pay $60 a wash, to add the RainEx coat for the whole RV it’s $15 more.

We are on our third Class A since 1997. On the road we have always used Blue Beacon Truck Wash. You can speak to the Manager or Supervisor before being serviced as to what you want done and what your options are. Every one we have been to was very knowledgeable about RV's and will go over what you want done and how they will do it. We always inspect our coach before we leave the facility and have always been satisfied with their work. Just our experiences. Stay well, Stay safe

Blue Beacon on the road. They come up to your window when you're in line and ask what you want. Ask them for the wash and wax and not to use brushes. It's been around $45 this year, a bit more if we have them also wash the toad. In a site, Wash Wax All.

We usually wash and wax before a trip and hit Blue Beacon on the way back to the barn. If we're out for a long time or are getting dirty, we hit Blue Beacon. They have an app that shows their locations so you can plan it into your drive.

I like blue beacon as well. Good wash, reasonable price.

Another trick from aviation - if you have a good wax (or similar) coat you can take cheap citrus dust cleaner and a lint free rag and just wipe off all the grime and bugs. Safe on acrylic, fiberglass, aluminum, etc.

I wash mine myself using water from the water tank. I just do it in a rest area. Sometimes beside gas stations and such with permission of course. Never been a problem.

Blue Beacon. Just had my 40’ class-A done in San Antonio for $55 Including Rain-X shine stuff (wax?).
They tell you up front that they won’t use acid on a MH. And they ask before using brushes. I let them, but my rig is 20 years old and not black. Tire shine optional.

I agree with the Blue Beacon comments. I make it a point to give the crew leader a tip when we discuss what's desired. I've asked to not use brushes unless absolutely necessary and usually they will just hit a tough spot again w spray soap & rinse. My impression is they are not used to getting tips and appreciate it and pay attention to the requests.
I usually do the toad as well.
We have had very good luck with the BB in Brunswick Ga. On our way south in winter. It's a good location for a stop and puts us within 1 day for many of our stops in FL.

Usually use a mobile wash company. I do not trust the high pressure nor many times the water at Blue Beacon. We just had it done here in Yuma yesterday with a full wash, wax, and roof for $150
