Where were you a decade ago today?

Amazon prime photo just finished uploading all 4273 images from iPhone 7 plus 256. 56 gig of photos, the iPhone backs up all the way to the original in 2007. Where were you 10 years ago today? I was in Georgia.

Huh - I never gave it much thought until you asked.........

I was working as a civilian (after a long military career) in the HR office of the Indiana National Guard trying to keep my head above water hiring temp employees to replace the full time (both active & civilian) force that was being mobilized in record numbers to head to the desert........busy days!!

Back then......I couldn't spell R-V! LOL

2007 = Second year of retirement after being told that after almost 42 years of working for the same company my services were no longer needed so took the pension, LOW layoff dollars and waited for my wife to do the same. We had a 27' Sunline TT and used it as much as possible. She retired so, we then acquired a very nice 2 year old Glendale Titanium and have been enjoying ourselves, and are now in our next last 5er, a 2014 purchased new Montana HC 343RL.

Those photos - many are on Photobucket but will be moved shortly to a better hosting site along with the external hard drive cache of even more.

10 years ago.... yeah, I was working then too.
I am a business owner. Business owners have it made. Take off as much as they want and for as long as they want. Come in late & leave early every day... Right??? No... not even close.

However, in about five years, I plan on selling and putting more miles on the MH.

10 years ago I was helping to manage the construction of a 14 mile wastewater treatment tunnel across north Seattle. My RV was a Bunkhouse pop-up trailer we pulled behind our Kawasaki Nomad.

In 07 our golf course was still open, so I was probably there. The course closed fall of 09. Or I could have been enjoying our 7th retired year living and boating on the Big Pond (Lake FDR) in WA. We had a 5er then.

I was in a motorcycle trip across the US. 7850 miles in 13 days.

Today in particular I was hauling ass across rte 395 in the desert. It was HOT.

In two weeks I leave for a 7500 mile trip in 21 luxurious days in my new to me RV.

Just gotta get batteries, a new converter charger and about 2000 other things that I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about. Bright side is I got my new tires mounted and my oil changed today.
