Which cards used most often
Since im new to this I would like to ask which travel cards do you think benifit most? Im not even aware of them all yet. For discounts at campgrounds for overnite stays.Im thinking Good Sam for one, what do you think about pass port america? Also for roadside assistance ,someone said triple A gold card or something like that. If you could could only pick five including roadside assistance which would be in your wallet? Thanks Larry.

Read your RV insurance policy closely or ask your agent. Most policies can or do include roadside assistance. Even though it might not cover as much as, say for example Good Sam, with a 5er, you may not need much more than flat tire or out of fuel assistance.

We have Passport America, Golden Access, FMCA, Escapees, and Coach-Net ERS. I used to have AAA and Coach-Net costs far less for far better service. We check every year to be sure, and find Passport America more than pays for itself in spite of our not using it all that much. FMCA, Escapees and just about any other RV organization with get you the same or better campground discounts as Good Sam will WITHOUT all the junk mail (yeah, I know they promise to take you off their junk mail list, but they didn't remove us in spite of repeated requests ...and I know they are the generator of the mail due to the misspelled name...). In addition to the above 5, we have WIT (Winnebago Itasca Travelers ...whatever brand you have, their mfg'er club might be a good one to be a part of) and SMART ( www.smartrving.net).

We are Good Sam members and Passport America paid for itself the first trip. We use PA a lot for one night stops on the road.
We use Good Sam for ERS and have had good experience with them.

Golden Access (now America the Beautiful Senior Pass) is definitely #1 for me, both in terms of the number of times used and the dollars saved. Best $10 I ever spent.
After that, in terms of number of times used (slightly different order in terms of dollars saved), Good Sam is probably #2, Escapees #3, Passport America #4. We have only used Coach Net twice, but when we needed it, I was glad it was there.

We use Good Sam (GS) Coachmen Owners Association (COA) Texas Sate Parks Pass, America the Beautiful Pass and TACO (Texas Association of Campground Owners} for discounts. We have GS ERS for roadside asistance and have used it mutiple times with excellent results. We use the Texas Stte Parks Pass, and the America the Beautiful Pass the most because we do a lot of state park and Corp of Engineer camping.

Hi wylie pa,
The top five for me are:
1. Good Sam
2. Passport America
3. KOA Discount Card
4. Coach Net & Good Sam Emergency Road Service (don't ask, it's a long story)
5. National Park Senior Pass (must be 62 yrs old).
Don't forget about credit card(s). For me, the best deal is the AMEX Cash Back Card. 5% cash back on fuel, groceries and pharmacy. 1 1/4% on everything else. There is no annual fee. As a second card, I use Chase VISA cash back card. 1% cash back on all purchases.
