I just bought a one year in Good Sam. They had a special $12 first year, with a $10 coupon on any purchase. So for a couple of bucks plus tax I can't go too far wrong. I will hold off on any others until I see how things shape up. Thanks.

You are doing right by taking your time with the clubs. We are having a IRV2 Rally in your District (Dixie Region) we would like you to join us. Look under the Dixie Region for details for the Spring Rally. We live North of Winston Salem NC. the Rally is at Meadows of Dan Va. at the Va. and NC border. Give me a personal Email if interested

Good Sam and FMCA seem to fit our needs.

Good Sam is a bargain. 10% at most campgrounds plus good magazines. Also we belong to a Good Sam's membership club - $10.00 per year. We have met nice people and enjoy the informal rally format. Informal yet well organized.

The same comments go for the FMCA clubs, which in our area have larger membership but are limited to motorhomes.
I do not take advantage of any of the commercial offerings.

If you own a motorhome the only way to go, IMNSHO, is FMCA.

It has been my experience that GS does not stand for Good Sam, it stands for <span class="ev_code_RED">Get Solicited</span>. I got so tired of mailings, emails, phone calls etc that I dropped them as fast as i could, and they STILL contact me. A 10% discount on campsites isn't nearly enough to entice me to come back.

FMCA's Coach Net has saved my bacon twice - once when my first coach locked up its front brakes, and when this one blew a line & I lost all the antifreeze. CN was on scene within 1/2 hour and got me 1) towed quickly & 2) on the road again. No hassles about payment and no quibbling about what needed to be done. It was done right the first time.
