I use the white if connecting to water.

I have two RV zeroG hoses, but if connected for a long time the water gets a flavor I dont like. So they only get used to fill the water tanks.

On the other hand, $30 for a hose and a 3-year life is only $10/yr, or a couple of lattes at Starbucks. Worth it to me, at least, especially since I don’t drink lattes or anything else from Starbucks as a general rule (make my own on the road). Like dock lines on a boat that only last so long - they’re just a cost of having and using an RV.

Lots of good advice above!

There are two basic issues with water quality and hoses.

The plastic or rubber material lining the hose can leach out chemicals. It is cheaper and easier to manufacture a hose using poisonous plasticisers or die lubricants. Different amounts of chemicals leach differently under different conditions.

These chemicals will not cause you to drop dead on the spot, but can cause illness over time. Often you will not be able to relate an illness to drinking from the hose. Sometimes it is exposure over several years that causes illness. Stomach, liver, and other organ damage can occur. Chronic diseases can develop.

Hoses that have been used for none potable liquids often retain things on the hose lining. The live things can seed potable water later. It may be typhoid, dysentery, cholera, and things like that.

My only complaint is alum fittings. I use Teflon tape and brass quick connects on all hoses, nozzles, connections.

On the Amazon site, the front cover of the package says "Lifetime Guarantee"

Under Warranty and Support it states:
"If the defect occurs beyond the stores replacement period, please contact Teknor Apex Customer Service at 1-800-289-6786 for product replacement.
 This warranty applies to the original purchaser for the warranty period stated on the front of the packaging and covers defects in workmanship, materials and kinking."

I ordered one.
