I have seen the minimalist decor in Airstreams and a few custom Prevosts. I prefer a warmer look, but I do like clean lines without frills and curly queues. I like some of the Winnebago interiors with their craftsman style, but the coach we ended up with is more traditional. I brighten up my cream interior with quilts and items like bedspreads and pillows.

Why do most RVs never have a modern looking interior?
To the OP, claytonyu.....
Welcome to iRV2!
Could you please show examples of the styles you have mentioned so we can understand your basis of style?
How would you describe this interior? New, stylish, old, plain, glitzy....?
Just trying to set a baseline for further discussion.

Look on YouTube at some new Newmar coach videos. They are not Winnebago Horizon modern, but they have lighter colors, walls, cabinets and while not shown they mentioned less ornate cabinet doors, etc.
Currently the Horizon is the only really modern style interior. But it’s “RV of the Year” and sold out. So maybe it will spread.
A lot of RV buyers live or lived in houses with similar interiors to the RVs they buy. But those houses we’re not “modern.”

Traditional. Very traditional— and a lot of it. It’s not bad if that’s your thing (it’s not my thing)

Nice interior Dave!! To answer your question, the first word that comes to mind is warm. The earthy tones in your coach just evoke warmth and hominess to me. Bet it looks even warmer at night with mood lighting on.

I’d say as far as the modern look they pretty much lost it when they put paisley on the window borders. I mean think about it, what chance do you have of finding anything paisley to put in your home? I personally like the RV style but that’s because that’s what I’m used to and what we’ve been offered by the RV industry for so long. I guess it’s what I expect an RV to look like. And it does give off a home feeling even though my home isn’t designed anything like it lol. I 100% understand what the OP is referring to because my wife complains about the same thing.
