my favorite acronym from work is PICNIC. "How'd that repair go?", "It was a PICNIC!"

Those who cannot deal with acronyms may be SOL.

FWIW: IIRC using acronyms can be a PITN, AFAIC. YMMV.

Short story. A B, C D QT? M R no QT. O S M R QT.

It took me a while to figure out that DW stood for Damn Wife.

For the acronym deficient folks, I normally spell out what the acronym means in the first mention of the word or phrase. After that I may use acronyms.
It takes me a while to figure out some acronyms myself. Many times I don't stop long enough to figure them out. I just move on to another post or thread.

Most people know and understand the simple often used acronyms, TGIF, SOL, ABS, CDC, DOA, etc when used in a sentence.
I was scolded on here by a member one time for using CHF & SB. The member didn't know what CHF & SB meant and CHF & SB are pretty common on RV forums.
So instead of replying to the member, when I needed to reply to the thread I spelled it out "Cheap Handling Fix" & "Sway Bar" in my reply. Then I continued to use the acronyms.

Was trying to figure out why you would use critcal heat flux in an RV forum.

Spelling out out the first use is SOP.

You think acronyms are bad on iRV2, my work has to publish a book there are so many of them. Even then, it is outdated the moment it is printed.

That's at night. In the morning it's "Dear Wife" or "Darling Wife."
