We just bought our mh in November and were planning a trip to Alaska in mid May. We are still planning to go but the anticipated cost of fuel has increased $1,000 since we started planning the trip. This is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime trip so we are going but we are really wondering if we made a really bad move buying the mh. If fuel goes to $8 - $10 range, we will not be able to get near as much use of the rig as we had hoped.

Will it stop us? - NO. We're not giving up, but cutting back. We will be exploring closer to home base. We are thinking on keeping it to 1 tank of fuel round trips (250 miles out or so). We already cancelled a 500 mile Charleston S.C. trip.
