Winegard Trav’ler Turret Replacement
Well it looks like my EL motor has gone out. Spoke to Winegard and they have a new turret on the way to me, thankfully it’s under warranty.
Most likely I will be the one replacing it rather than the dealer because of time constraints, if you have replaced the turret or have some insight it would be appreciated. From my research it looks pretty straight forward.

I took mine off my old trailer. I just unplugged it, removed the Dicor, and it has a bunch of small machine screws holding it in. 7/16 or 3/8, I believe, but not sure. It does like to flop around a bit when moving it.

Gorilla tape the turret so it doesn't flop around while moving it to the roof.
I've installed four of them. Typically, on a new install, you outline the turret and apply sealer inside the outline, but on yours, you'll know where it sits. It only points in one direction....there is an arrow.
Take a heat gun and peal off the Dicor that should be sealing it now. Remove about 8-10 screws that hold it in place. You may have to apply some pressure to get it loose from the roof.
Once removed, you'll need to clean up whatever sealant was used to secure it to the roof. Once the area is clean, you need to apply a bead of sealant inside the outline of the old unit. Since you'll already have holes from the old screws, I would force some sealant down each screw hole. Center the unit over the sealant and reinstall the screws. I would snug them by hand, since there is already holes there to make sure you don't strip them out. If they don't bite, I would go up one size in stainless steel.
Once installed, use Dicor in a tube and seal the edges of the satellite and the screws.
I like to use silicone as the sealant under the turret. Many will go crazy that I recommended silicone, but it's great for holding strength on two mating surfaces. Use what you like!

Took a little over a hour to replace it yesterday. This is different than an installation of a Trav'ler in that you are only replacing the turret and not the base plate so no messing with Dicor.
Pretty straight forward, hardest part was lugging it up to the roof. Took the dish off, then the LNB arm and the mounting plate and Unhooked the cables and power cord. Removed all the screws holding the turret to the base plate and removed it. Then put everything back together in reverse order.
Thumbs up to Wingard, process was simple and timely. Very good instructions.
