Winnebago 27n power bunk

We have just purchased a 2015 Wnnebego 27n that has a powered front bunk. My question is can you travel with the bunk part way down or will this ruin the mechanism. We thought it would be nice to leave it made up which doesn’t allow you to put it right to the top and connect it to the strap. Also it would be a nice spot to use for some storage. Thanks for your nput.

I am sure the lawyers would say no. Reason for the strap. Our 2016 27N came with a broken bunk. Someone while at the dealer lot tried to lower the bed with the strap attached. Broke all of the plastic guides on both sides. Much improved in 2017 and 2018. I am sure you will forget and hit your head plenty of times before you learn.
