We used a cover on our old Laredo 5th wheel for a couple of winters. But by the 3rd winter I stopped covering it. Cover was damaged too much from the winds, so it was destroyed.
If the cover is not tight enough it will move and tear, then you need to find a place to sew up the rips before next year. But you also need to worry above what the cover is doing to the roof of the camper. Is it rubbing the edge while the wind is moving it during a 50 mph snow storm causing damage to the roof?
Now we own a 45 ft toyhauler, last year we did not cover it, it was in for repairs for 4 months. This year it will not be covered and will be in our back yard.
Question: Do they cover these things over the winter in the RV sales lot? Why not?
