Don't know who owns it now but when you go on S. Padre island, turn right and go all of the way as far as you can go. It is a county park I think. That will be the cheepest. There is also one on the right as soon as you get on the island, but it is a little expensive I think. Make sure you go to Al's for any shrimp and fish. It is the best.

We were just in Corpus and we took a ride through some of the RV parks. We were staying at the military base.

Shady Grove on walden Road look nice. Check the RV Park reviews.

You might take a look at Park Center in Port Isabel, a mile or so from the bridge to South Padre Island.
The cheaper lots are too small to suit me ($230 per month) and I would go for the 30' lots at $250 per month.

Park Center

The county park is nice but reservations are hard to get. I wouldn't wait and I'd make them asap. Being a county park, you might have a time limit.

We stayed at the RV park just right of the bridge. Since our visit, I believe it is now a KOA and, as you know with all KOAs, is expensive.

There is a Outdoor Resorts located before the bridge. Each lot is individually owned and I think the owners have until Oct. of each year to let their office know if their sites are available to be rented out.

As a word to the wise, be aware that Spring breakers pretty much rule the roost in March on South Padre.

There is another place I'd recommend. It's on Mustang Island right off of Corpus Christi. It's called Pioneer RV. It's located on the beach albeit you have to cross the sand dunes to get there.

Hope this helped.
