Winter RV Shows

My wife and I are somewhat new to the scene (been RV’ing in our ACE 30.2 for just over a year now - weekend warriors). We have fallen in love with camping and absolutely HATE to see our season come to an end for the winter months. We would love to go to a big RV show over the winter to meet new folks, see new products and camping inventions/ideas, and like most of us, look at the BIG BOYS and dream. However, we have no idea where to begin, and I was hoping that some of you seasoned RV’ers could recommend a big RV show that you’ve attended in the past or are planning to attend. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

There is also a big indoor show in Houston the first week of February, it is at the NRG center on the south side by the I-610 loop.

I attended it last year while I had some other business to do in Houston (150 miles from home). Nice for looking at RV's though not much else, some vendors set up, but most were generic show stuff (seat cushions, cell phones, tens machines) , not RV specific, also some campgrounds and RV resorts represented, etc.

FMCA Convention, March 13-17, 2019 in Perry, GA. Not only many RVs on display there will be indoor vendors and technology seminars and lifestyle.

The mother of all RV shows is in Quartzsite, AZ. The big tent is only open for 9 days but there are tents and RV lots all over town. Most are open the entire month of January or longer.

X2 on the Tampa RV Supershow in mid January. We go every year and you can spend days without seeing all that your might enjoy. Every RV imaginable plus vendors for all RV accessories, RV resorts, campgrounds, etc. There are also many RV seminars aimed at education for all. It's a fun time and the show is absolutely huge. Good luck.

We are making our first journey to Tampa in January. Commercial camping is already booked solid, as is the closest state park, Hillsborough River. A spot may be available here and there, but I had to book three different spots during the week simply because their wasn't a single space available the entire time. I still don't have a space for Saturday night. Their will be dry camping available at the fairgrounds if you want to take that route.
