Winterizing Ice Maker

Looking for info on winterizing the water line to the ice maker in a Samsung refrigerator. There is a valve for water on & off to the fridge ice maker in the water control system or panel. Do I just open that valve when blowing out the lines and any water in the line will just blow out in the fridge ice tray? Then close the valve to keep the pink antifreeze out of the ice making process when adding the pink antifreeze into the water lines. There is also an on/off button in the fridge to turn on or off the ice making.
Also there is a water filter in the water system in the water control system or panel into the rig. Do I just remove the filter and let that container probably about a quart size just fill with the pink antifreeze while filling the water lines in the rig.
Thanks for any info... The manual from Samsung has nothing nor does the Grand Design Owners manual.

If you are putting the RV into storage for the winter, I would remove the water line and blow it out with compressed air.

You will need to drain line from solenoid, to ice maker. Also need to energize solenoid to push antifreeze into the solenoid.

I disconnect the supply line, blow it out and then blow a bit of antifreeze through the line. I remove the solenoid and keep it inside the house over the winter so it can not freeze. You can cycle antifreeze through the valve, but that takes more time and effort (in my opinion...) than it does to remove it the way my set up is configured. When I am ready to reinstall, I just flush the line with water and then reconnect. This way I have no residual in the system that I have to worry about working through the system.

If you Blow out the line you will need to open the valve. Take the front cover off the front of the ice maker. You will see what type you have. Go to You Tube, do a search. Find your ice maker. Pretty easy to follow.
