deprived, anti-gel additive is only needed when you fill during the summer months and your next trip is in cold months. Like I filled in Aug. and my next trip is in Dec.
When this happens I always add a bottle of Power Service 9-1-1, it's a CYA thing.

With biodiesel there is the problem of algae growth that will clog the fuel filter for the engine and the generator. The fuel stabilizers protect against this and if the diesel runs off the main fuel tank then putting some in and then running the generator should purge it of the untreated diesel in its lines and filter.

Actually that was a problem before biodiesel was invented. Water is required for algae to grow. It usually occurs when the owner parks the vehicle long-term with a partial tank of fuel. Natural temperature fluctations causes moisture condensation in the tank, the water settles to the bottom, you know the rest.

That's the wrong product. The right one is called "Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost." That's the diesel fuel winterizer. The 911 product is for when your fuel has already gelled or your filters have frozen.
You should really always add a winterizer unless you are certain that you have a full tank of winter diesel. It's cheap insurance.
