I keep a tire from the just replaced set un mounted. If it were on a rim I couldn't lift it. We did use it once when a guy had to come out because I lost air in a outside dully. He replaced the tire and valve stem without removing the rim from the coach. I treat the spare like it was a car doughnut spare. Drive for as little a possible at very reduced speeds.
It sure beat sitting at the side of the road, perhaps overnight waiting for a guy in a remote location, for some reason these things don't happen to me close to civilization, to get a tire and charge me a fortune for some unknown mismatched tire.
By getting back on the road in just two or three hours and not waiting in the badlands somewhere I can pass on the "Do You Carry A GUN" thread.
Fear is a great motivator. What are you most afraid of?
Fear is the sales tool to use on the Boomers.
