Your Opinion On Tires

I know there have been several discussions on tires. I have read most of them but here is my reason for this post. I drive a 41 foot Gulf Stream Friendship, GVW 30,000. Last May I changed my 2 front tires and put on Michelins and had them use the beads for balancing. I was very pleased with the difference from the Goodyear tires with conventional weights for balance. Now it is time to replace the rear tires also Goodyears. The cost for the 2 front tires ws just a hair (a very fat hair) over $1200. I have been quoted Firestone FS560 Highway A/P at $305.00 each.

As I have said I read most of the previous posts concerning tires but what is your opinion? Will I be able to "feel" a ride difference with the truck tire vs a motorhome tire? I do have air suspension on the coach and these will be going on the rear. I run the coach close to gross axel weight on the rear (20,000 lbs). This does equate to a buy one get one on price compared to the front tires I bought earlier this year. Opinions are asked for I just need others thoughts that I may not have run across yet.

Thanks all.

I'm running 11R22.5 Continental HSR2 "truck tires" on my rear axle and don't notice any difference at all from the previous GY G670.

I run Firestone TransForce and have never had a problem. I've been very happy with them.

I have used both Michelin and Other brands on my autos. My Michelin tires have always outlasted their warranty perriod, the others did not. I'd go with the one that has been proven better by my own on the road trials.
