We were driving north of Atlanta on Interstate 75 when a pickup truck towing a small single axle trailer passed me. On the trailer was a large block V-8 engine strapped down with two puny looking orange retching tie downs. A bridge was coming up that had a bump at the end and when the pickup and trailer got to it I saw first the truck rise up then the trailer catapulted up, then start to tip over.

When the trailer came back down it landed on its side and the big block engine broke loose. That engine started to roll down the interstate shedding parts. The engine skidded right in front of us still shedding parts, then right before I hit it, the engine veered onto the shoulder, then down the grass slope striking a light pole. The pole broke away from its base and came crashing down right behind us into the driving lane! A car behind us hit the pole. The pickup truck that had the engine got pilled over dragging the upside-down trailer behind it by the safety chains.

We were very very lucky. With all of the parts streaking past us, and the engine bouncing right toward us for a moment or two, we never hit a thing!
