We registered for the rally at Ocean Lakes next year, it will be our first rally. From what I have gotten irv2 I am looking forward to it. I'm new and can't wait. You guys helped me when I needed it when the dealer had no clue.

I would call because unless your there and prove your with the rally they have the sites reserved so you have to mention the rally. they are very helpful when you call

I agree w/Kujomam6. You'll need to call. DriVer has already had the CG set aside all those sites for us. They won't show as available with an online search.

I haven't been paying much attention to iRV2 recently since we were not able to attend the 2013 rally in Amana. I'm pleased to see the 2014 rally planning is well underway. Part of the reason we did not attend the 2013 National is the delay in announcing the location for the event. That's certainly not the problem with the 2014 National.
We've got the dates on our calendar and I hope we can make it work for 2014.
Thanks to DriVer and others who worked this out and made the announcement so forum members can plan for the 2014 event.

Many single RVers attend rallies?
Hi All,
New here to the forum, but have had some great conversations so far!
I'm an experienced RVer, however am now going it alone. Have had my own rig for only 5 months.
I have never been to any rallies before. But this one sounds intriguing!
What I am wondering is will I have much fun coming singly? Everyone who has signed up so far seems to be part of a couple...so I am apprehensive about coming all that way.
I am also curious about what to expect for group activities at an RV rally...what sort of things do you all do? What are the seminars about?

I haven't attend a rally either... and I'm curious about the activities. Are there vendors and education programs planned? Activities?? Or is it essentially an excuse to get together with a bunch of nice folks??
Also... anyone with kids going? We have 10 and 13yr old girls.. curious..

We are planning "real" seminars for RV Professionals. In regard to the activities, those are still under development at this time but rest assured that there will be plenty to do. Not to worry though, I plan of have at least 1 day off so you can runa round and do whatever you want to.
We're going to put some great meals together and we're going to have a ball. Come and join us and bring the kids .... there's a kiddie pool and other activities for kids to do in the area like Ripleys' Aquarium, zip lining and Wonderworks.
By the way ... we are taking advantage of this rally to get together!

If you are travelling as a single RV'er, you probably won't be alone too long.
No really - just pick a seat and join the crowd. We are not eHarmony but we have never had a problem with a single camper either. Everyone fits in and all are welcome. Believe me, you'll fit right in.

Don't count on that......but I have attended a couple of National Rallies as a single and everyone was friendly.

Oh really? Have you been RVing alone long?
What's the farthest you've traveled in one trip?

I have been RVing for 36 years - the last 20 of it as a single.
As a single I don't travel far (3 - 5 hrs.) from home. Unfortunately I have ended up in the hospital a couple of times while on trips. I did go to the irv2.com National Rally at the Grand Canyon but I had someone traveling with me to help with the driving.
