Last night's Grand Ole Opry performance was fantastic. We signed up months ago because, well, when in Nashville you have to go to the Opry, right? Wasn't sure we were too excited about it otherwise, but we both loved it and both agreed that if we're ever back in Nashville we'll go back.
Most of us took a shuttle bus to the Opry.
There were IRV2 friends spread all over the auditorium.
There's a live radio broadcast as part of every show, and has been since the very first show, 90 years ago.
This is the circle in which any aspiring country music star would kill to stand.

The Cadillac Three. Nope, I'd never heard of them either. I suspect they have their fans, we are not among them.
Newcomer Rainey Qualley, an Asheville NC native. In spite of her being sick, she did OK. No way she was going to give up the opportunity to appear on the Grand Ole Opry stage!

"Whispering" Bill Anderson
This is Tommy Emmanuel, Australian by birth, and he blew the doors off the place.
The headliner last night was Dierks Bently, celebrating his 10th anniversary as a member of the Opry.
Dierks brought his 15 year old and deaf dog with him, saying he was there on his first night as a member, he only thought it fair he be there tonight.

What George didn't show was the pre-game activities.
Here's the grounds crew (DRIVER) prepping the field for the championship competition.
There was an attempt by each team to psych out the other with all the fierceness they could muster. (Yea, they look pretty scary, eh?)
