2016 International Rally "West" - A Poll
iRV2 has access to analytics that tell us where IP traffic comes from when folks access the site. In a recent bar graph I saw that the Western US was nearly at the top of the chart. What this means is that a large number of our members come from the Western states; specifically California.
in keeping with our hi-bar of minimums in regards to hook-ups and pads, amenities, recreation hall and the surrounding community, would a rally in Hemet, California at the Golden Village Palms Resort be an event that you could see yourself attending?
Golden Village Palms, Hemet, California
Please indicate if you would attend a 2016 International Rally on the borders of the Joshua Tree National Forest, in Hemet, California. In brief;
"Combining luxury with a modern sensibility, Golden Village Palms has been committed to delivering exceptional vacation experiences for over three decades.
As California’s largest luxury RV resort, Golden Village Palms believes you deserve more than just a place to stay; you deserve an unparalleled escape with personalized service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere."
See the website: Golden Village Palms
The timeline for the 2016 International Rally might be corresponding with the close of the snowbird invasion and Rally in Quartzsite, AZ. We would hope to snag a flock of those folks on their way home. (Sometime in March 2016).
Please vote your preference.

Not in March for us. We have conflicting plans already for next spring. Now, 2017 might be a different story.

I think we should be able to make it, and hopefully it happens. Will watch the thread for progress of a West Coast Rally.

Although that looks wonderful, not for us either. Too far (we still work) so we can't take off that much time to get out there & back, plus there's too much chance of bad weather that time of year between OH & CA.

Lori has a good point on the weather. Make it June or after labor day (would still be 2017 for us) and you may attract more from the "colonies".
I'd be very enthusiastic about a 2017 west coast rally planned for sometime when weather would likely be less of a factor. Just too many plans for 2016 already. The timing suggested seemingly will be convenient mostly for those that live within a relatively close distance or who already have plans to be in the "neighborhood". Snow birds haven't, for the most part, left their winter roost before April and those that rent space for the winter have probably committed at least through March.

Agree that timing for snowbirds might not be ideal. We are committed till April 1st in Yuma. That's not to say we won't consider leaving early to attend the Rally, but just a thought.
Another thought....we are near Jackson, Wyoming right now & boy is it beautiful (70's). Maybe a late summer/early fall could be found in this area. Tetons & Yellowstone could be before/after stops.

We would be interested. That is a beautiful area. But I think April or May would be more practical since snowbirds might not be on their way home yet. June and after you may find the heat to be an issue.

Don't think we could do it March. I have an event in Vegas in Jan, business convention in Miami in Feb, and possibly another event in Reno in May/June time frame. Could do a western rally before or after the Reno event.

We would be able to if it was going to be about the Sept time again. Spring trips are already scheduled.

Hemet is a nice area. A bit cold in March, though. I also think April or May would be better.

Much too large a park in a much too large a city. There is enough stress in most lives without this kind of location.
