12 Days
Hi all!
Thank you all for your guidance and wisdom. I am a future full-timer. I pick up my Newmar Bay Star 3012 in 12 days. It will be parked in my driveway for approximately a month while I move my things and my furry children (2 kitties, 2 pups) in and acclimate.
Then off to the military FamCamp for a month or two while I learn how to be a full-timer.
I had a huge garage sale this weekend and unloaded sooo much! I hadn't planned on buying my RV for another month or two but got such a good deal on a used, discontinued floor plan model that someone else took the first year's depreciation on that I couldn't pass it up as my "starter".
I still have a lot to do to unload large furniture items and donate unneeded items to friends, family and Goodwill. My house has appreciated since I purchased so should sell quickly if I price it right (and I will).
Love this forum and the support I've received here. Hope to meet some of you on the road in my future travels.
Dawn

Congratulations on your decision and welcome to the Newmar family.
In case you need it here is a Brochure and Owners Guide so you will have some idea of how items in your coach will function and below in my signature are links to many others for info on your new Newmar.
Safe travels.

Thanks Again
Thank you again for the warm welcome. Coming from a military "family" that has grown over 20 yrs, I wondered if I would ever find the same kind of community fellowship once I retired. I am glad to say that I am finding that here.
Days are dwindling until I pick up the new rig and I am so excited. My HOA has emphatically let me know that the new MH may only be in my driveway while I am actively loading (I may be loading 24/7 for a week or two...LOL) so I have that to deal with. Being a solo and having a car the I would rather sell than make a toad (requires dolly) makes the logistics a lot harder. There is an RV park 1.5 miles from my house so I can bike back and forth while I finalize my "move in". I'm working on getting my motorcycle license so I can put a street legal scooter on the back of the RV to do the back and forth but that's a few weeks out. Once that's done, I'll park my rig at the military FamCamp on Patrick AFB, sell the car and use the scooter to get around while I finalize things that need to be done to sell the bricks and sticks house. I hate having to rely on friends/colleagues for rides here and there...if there are other singles/solos who have advice, please chime in...I'll post this in the "solo" thread as well.
Thanks!
Dawn
