Hi we are new motor homers. We just purchased a 2015 Thor ACE 30.1 and are
heading to Florida for 6 weeks the middle of Nov.This time we are going to rent a car when we get there. We are planning on buying a car to tow in the spring.
My question is has anyone used or is using a Ready Brake tow bar with a surge brake?? It seems to be the cheapest way to go.
Thanks for any help you can give. Will try and post as we go on our first journey.

That's what we use. Works great! We did install a small light on the dash so we can tell if the brakes are on. They have never not released after being on but we didn't want to find the hard way that they didn't.

As long as you can tow 4 down, it's an option. Be certain you check you toad to be certain you can. Don't trust a dealer, research from the manufacturer or in you owners manual to be certain. You can really damage a transmission if you can't. Enjoy your trip!!
