2 Hopeless Romantics buy RV!
Now let the adventure begin! Actually, we are 2 hopeless romantics, plus our 2 kids (not yet teens) and our pug/rat terrier, Ginger. This was our shameless way of cramming into a small space and ensuring we stay connected w/ our kids as they go into the next phase of their lives. We've been out on several three day weekends (we bought in late August and crammed in as much as we could) and today took the 'rig' in for winterization and that's when I discovered this web site (as I was doing a search to see what the going rate might be at our dealer). I am so excited to have found this site. What awesome information. My other passion is geeking out on retirement planning and I love hearing about ways people have made the leap - I've found my people!! We'll be planning our big Alaska summer trip for next summer and I will be sure to keep searching for great spots and itineraries for that trip. if anyone has done that and wants to share, I'd be grateful .

Welcome!
Nice choice in rigs.
I would post each question in separate posts. That way, you will have more views. This rig is made to be winterized by you. You should have no problem DIY.
The biggest hurdle would be a socket big enough to unscrew the water tank drain. The rest is gravy.

Hi,
I am also thankful to have found this site as I am a newbie also. Let me know what kind of trip to Alaska you are looking for and I can point you to resources or give suggestions. I live on the Kenai Peninsula and was born in Cordova, Ak. Welcome fellow newbie.
