2005 Northern Star...many months of search

Been a lurking individual for about 8 months, joined irv several months ago...great resource. Had settled on used Country Coach or Newmar. Did the nationwide search dance for a long, long time...wanted a king bed (6’-4”- 220 lbs...but wait, it gets better). Ended up buying from a local dealer. Main criteria was a king bed...or at least a modification available. Bought the coach at end of January...3933 comes with king) SoCal rain, rain, rain...a good thing, not so much for RVing. In the interim, EMS, TPMS, hoses, ladders, cooking/grilling, new lawn chairs, etc. and on and on to the tune of about $3k, and haven’t had a overnight experience yet. Now I purchased a used Fiat Sport, complete with tow gear, wiring and RVi brake...already installed. Here is where it gets better..
I drove it home about 180 miles, not feeling cramped 6’-4”, Easy to shift with no leg interference. Great little ride that will be the toad...car #3...we have two others. I have a four car garage...toad sleeps there. MH is stored inside, off site.

I’ve camped a lot in my lifetime (including a three week trip to Alaska in my Cessna 182) but never in a 40’ motorhome. I have put about a 130 miles on it just driving for fun and sucking fuel. In the interim, as weather allows, a few camping trips prior to California 49’s rally I’m registered for late April. Hoping to meet some Newmar owners that will enlighten me to some of the nuances. Already researched com.net

Where do keep your 182? Fixed gear or RG?

Sold the 182 to my partner who was retiring to North Carolina. Travelled to Bahamas, many times to Mexico, Alaska and points between.

Did join the NKK...attending my 1st Rally in the last part of April. California 49’ers.

Best,
