Smile 2010phaeton

Happy Friday all you RVers.First time to use anything like this for chatting, I think I feel more at home with the old technology, the old phone. Anyway we bought a 2010 40' Phaeton DP off of EBay back in 2010 and have chocked up almost 30,000 miles. We have gone thru two toads and are now towing a 2013 Ford Explorer. Its heavier than the other toads and so Im looking for advise on which brake systems work best with coaches with engine brakes. Looking forward to being part of the community. Please let me know if I'm posting this correctly. Thanks fellow members.

You would get more replies by posting your question in the Toad forum where more members with experience would see it.

Welcome to irv2. Here is a link to a few past threads on supplemental braking systems which should give you a good start.

Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang here!

I would suggest that you post specific questions over in the appropriate areas of the forum for best results. Not many folks hang out here in the Welcome area. Enjoy the forum!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome! We drive an 09 Phaeton w/ tag axle and use the SMI Air Force One braking system to tow our Ford F150 with a Polaris RZR in the bed. It's worked great for us traveling all over the US for the past 3 years. Good luck in your travels!
