2015 Itasca Sunstar
Hi, I am a new member checking in. Wondering if any other 2015 Itasca Sunstars have had a similar problem with the front corner body trim. The trim is a long vertical plastic trim piece located just forward an beneath the side mirrors. The trim piece is held on by only two screws, one at the top and one at the bottom. While driving at hwy speed, we've noticed that the wind causes these trim strips to vibrate. If fact while vibrating it makes a horrible nose. We had no idea what it was until one of the trim strips broke due to the wind induced vibration. We currently have it in for repair, but I was wondering if anybody else has experienced a similar problem

Yup. My 2014 did the same thing. Horrible buzzing sound at speed. I "fixed" it by stuffing shop rags into the space. It's quiet now.

Thanks! Yes a big buzzing sound. Unfortunately our trim strips on this model are only about an inch and a half wide. There is no room to put anything under the strip. If the shop does not add another screw to the middle of the strip, I will to hopefully solve the problem. Have a great day!

As requested, I tried attaching a couple of pictures of the broken trim strip. Hope this works as it is my first experience with this forum!

The piece that vibrated on mine is the one directly above the thin strip. No screws are visible, and I'm not sure how it's affixed to the frame. I am assuming their crappy adhesive.

Sorry, I wish I had an answer for yours..you are probably right, it is stuck on with adhesive. I'd go look at mine right now to see if I could tell, but it is in the shop for repair.
