3 year member just checking in...if I remember correctly.

Hi everyone,

My wife and I purchased our Forest River Cardinal 5th wheel and GMC 2500 Denali (in a beautiful red) at the end of 2018 while we were both still working and saw the road as much as work allowed.

Our retirement plan (which happened in 2019) included seeing as much as possible of the US of A and scoping out a place to live outside of California. We’ve visited 13 states and found that the state of Arizona will provide our new home.

Our current home in Fresno, is in the final days of escrow and we have to wait until “probably” January 2022 to get the keys to our soon to be built home in Prescott Valley.

In the meantime, along with Brodie and Millie (milligrams, get it?) our 9 year old brother and sister Miniature Aussie pups, we are staying in a cozy 35 ft 5th Wheel. Fortunately for the dog’s sake and ours,it has an “RV” King size bed (whatever that means) staying in multiple parks hoping to stay cool and avoid paying for the electricity during this “record” AZ heat wave that we didn’t plan on. I think I forgot a period in that sentence.

We are going as far Savanna in August to continue seeing the US of A and pass the time. Hopefully we don’t find a better place than Prescott Valley on our journey.

Returning in September, will find us in one park for Fall & Winter and I guess will cost us an arm and leg paying for the propane that apparently parks don’t provide to temporary RVers.

So that’s our story. Thanks for the welcome.

Hi AussiePop. Not sure you looked far enough East. Also from CA a while back, landed in NC to retire. Good luck in AZ.

Prescott Valley is an amazing area. We are in Sun City West, but try to RV up north when we get the chance.
