Saw this someone passing on the highway and wondered??? Maybe someone can answer my question. What is necessary and legal (weight and size) for one to carry a motorcycle and/or golf cart on a carrier attached to the rear of a 30 ft. 5th Wheel? I am trying to avoid towing double and would much rather try this if it is safe, affordable, and workable.

First, welcome to iRV2.com.  We're glad to have you join us.
If you'll go to the toolbar above your post, click on Find and enter "motorcycle carrier" into the Search box, uncheck the "Search this forum only" box and click "Go", you'll get about 3 pages of threads dealing with this subject. Lots of information there.

lanc2, Welcome to iRV2.com . Yes I seen then with motorcycle but they were not the large heavy one. it seen they were under 500 lbs. just make sure you get a professionally shop to installed it right.

LANC2, welcome to the irv2.com family! Fifth wheel trailers are designed and balanced for proper towing, adding weight to the rear of this trailer will disrupt this balance formula. The probable result is poor handling when towing with this modification, unless the manufacturer has accounted for adding weight to the rear of the trailer.
Like Rusty suggested, use the search feature to find past discussions of this subject.
Of course you may use simple geometry to determine the actual weight transfer for the weight you plan to haul.

Howdy and welcome to iRV2.
This question is still in the Toy hauler forum also, Here is the link. You will see there are several answers for you so read it and think about it. I have a Honda Goldwing, we had a 17' toy hauler and decided we would rather have one with a garage. There are also suggestions about your truck. Check it out and have fun.
