87 Holiday Rambler 24' 6.9 diesel maiden voyage
We will be taking the old girl on her first trip (since bringing her home).
We are starting out her new chapter/family with a new water pump, belts and brakes (including master cyl, calipers, pads, front brake hoses, rear shoes and wheel cylinders) and replacement of a seized parking brake cable and fluids and filters. This will be a 1000 mile test run. Wish us luck! She managed 14 mpg on her coming home drive from Georgia to Florida. A/C off and 60 mph, with my white knuckled death grip on the steering wheel. We will be taking backroads to NC at a liesurely 55 mph to see how she does. Updates to follow soon. I would like to know if any other Holiday Rambler class C 6.9 diesels are still out there.
