A REAL Novice here!
Hello guys and gals! My wife and I just purchase our first RV. It's a 1998 Winnebago Brave DL. We are really excited, but pretty nervous at the same time. Neither of us have any experience with campers or RVs. I've read the manuals, but most of the info seems vague or refers to stuff that I don't know.
Is there a place that my wife and I can take it to have someone walk us thru all of the important stuff? We are in beautiful Cibolo/Schertz Texas, and would really appreciate some help.
Thanks in advance!
Maurice

Hi and
Don't know your area, hopefully some who does will be along soon with answers.
In the mean time you might try call RV dealers and RV repair facilities and ask for if they can do it or better yet ask for the name of a local PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) inspector

Now's as good a time as any to start checking out local RV dealers and service centers, see if you find anyone you like.

Joining a local RV Club or GS Chapter or FMCA Chapter will help you meet and make new friends who will be eager to share their knowledge and experience. Many CampingWorld's offer free teaching seminars on weekends.
You can also lear alot off of YouTube http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...be.dCVCiyLyfAY

Thanks for the info so far! I've been watching LOTS of YouTube videos and was considering joining FMCA or Good Sams and the such, but wasn't sure. I guess I will go ahead with that now. I'll check with camping world too. We have one not to far up the road from our house.
Thanks again for sharing! All info is WELCOME!!!!

Hi Maurice! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!
Congrats on the new rig! Hope you can find someone near you that can help. In the meantime, you can post specific questions over in the appropriate areas of the forum for a lot of information.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

go to a nearby campground for the weekend and begin introducing yourself and wife to campers , chances are they are from your area and just ask if perhaps they would be interested in helping you. you meet the nicest people and most rvers are willing to share info. also this site is a life-saver and almost anything you ask, someone can explain it so that you can understand. it has literraly saved us lots of money by doing things within reason ourselves.
