A total "newbie."
Hello all. I just joined the site after reading many interesting posts and helpful replies about Rv'ing. My husband and I were married just last month. I am retired and he plans to retire in March, which is just about the time our new RV will be ready to pick up. We were at the Hershey Show and couldn't resist the Newmar Baystar. We have never owned an RV and are truly new to this exciting phase of our lives. We have a kitty that is 11 years old that we hope will adjust to life on the road. We couldn't leave her out of all the fun! Any helpful tips regarding travels with a neurotically, shy cat would be appreciated. I'm anxiously counting the days until we can hit the open road. Looking forward to meeting some great people.

Based on what I've read about traveling with pets, it might be a good idea to get a roomy pet carrier. Create an interesting place for her/him to explore while you are still home. Put treats in there occasionally etc. Then perhaps kitty will find it a safe place to go if travel is upsetting. I've also read where keeping kitty confined when putting slides in or out, etc is a good idea.
Just my thoughts.
