Almost Full timers
Good Morning RV2ers. Just registered this morning and we are looking forward to reading the valuable information and stories that everyone has posted. We live in Canada and our plan is to head South during our cold winters and spend the summers in Canada. My husband retired 5 years ago and I just retired from nursing June 30 this year. We have owned a travel trailer and a couple fivers when our children were young and camped locally.
Our home will be on the market soon and our plan is full time RVing. A few weeks back we traded our Sundance 32 for a Montana 3750 (fiver). We've had 2 garage sales, taken piles of STUFF to second hand stores but still have a lot of work ahead. It is an emotional time with lots of ups and downs but I know it will all be worth it. We have lots of questions so will check out the posts.
Bye for now from Minesing, Canada

Contracts for taking the steps for your happiness. We are not full timers yet but hope to do so in two years or less so maybe it would be good for you to post up what its been like thus far. I know for us, we are in the midst of of getting rid of stuff. We had our first garage sale ever this year and it felt good. We sold one of our cars, an all original 72 Buick Skylark with 108k original miles, out boat is also on the market and I let go of my big F350 Powerstoke truck.
We have met met lots of full timers on the road as we are traveling around summer. There are links on this sites and others that have gobs of information about planning and budgeting to be full timers.

Welcome to the Forum. We just went thru the process of selling our home and buying a MH. Started fulltiming in Dec. 2013. Getting rid of your accumulated possessions can be stressful but it seemed to get easier as the time came closer to fulltime. We had made the decision not to store anything. Anyway, we hope you enjoy your time and keep us posted as you progress towards your goal of fulltiming. Best of luck.
Happy RV'ing

Almost Full timers
Thank you so much for the "welcome to the community" greetings.
Another busy day today. Last minute cleaning before pictures of the house for the sale listing. Now it's just a matter of keeping things tidy and cutting grass. We've started moving things into the Montana which is sitting in our second drive. We can continue to downsize the closets so when the house sells we will only have the big furniture items to sell or give away. It feels like it's really going to happen (full timing I mean)...We are hoping to be able to start our adventure by September. I'll keep in touch.
Pierre, Marilyn and Mr. Jingles (cockapoo)...

Almost full timing...
P.S. I am sad about selling my 08 Honda Hybrid...love that car, but it makes no sense to store it, maintain and insure it. I'll leave that til last to sell...
