First, let me mind my manners and say, "Hello". I'm another "newbie" as outside of one, week-long tent camping trip the missus and I took about 5 years ago, I haven't been near a camper since I was about 16. For those of you scoring at home, that was a smidge over 3 decades ago...yikes
So, anyway, fast forwarding to the here and now, I recently traded my boat for a small, "vintage" Southwind Eagle 1; a compact 23 footer. At risk of boring you all, this is the story: the whole thing started with me trading a Gibson Les Paul Studio for a different boat, which got sold and the money used to purchase another, that got traded into both a power boat and a sailboat, both of those getting traded for different versions of the same toy, to eventually the sailboat getting sold, the power boat being traded for this last boat (which now becomes the RV) and my putting money in the bank when it was all said and done. WHEW!
In a nutshell, I'm a fan of "bartering" in case you didn't garner that out of that rather long-winded story. Thankfully, and more by necessity, I'm a little "handy" and have a few tools in the garage. I've always been blessed by "gumption" as opposed to "money". So, where other, much wiser folks have the luxury of buying exactly what they want, I, on the other hand, need to take the long road around things and usually build at least something similar to what I want.
Living in Florida affords us a lot of time to be outside, and while the PO of this particular unit put a lot of effort into this coach, what he didn't do was make her very "pretty".

I hope to try my hand at the "Rustoleum Challenge" on the outside. I'll keep you all informed.
The inside is rather clean for an older girl such as she;
Outside of the fact that 'she-that-must-be-obeyed' doesn't care for the rather yellowish woodgrain decor, I could've lived with it. As it is, I'll be updating the inside as well.
As it turns out, the only thing the lovely bride cares about is "pretty" so my work is ahead of me and there's LOTS to do on the list
