Another new guy

Hi, and thanks for having this site for me to look at. Have been considering purchasing a trailer for the last year. It is just myself and wife so considering small to medium (16 to 22 feet?) one to tow behind my Titan.

What I need help with is convincing my wife that the purchase of a trailer to travel with (we are both retired) will be financially worth it as compared to staying in hotels, etc., when we go away.

To be honest, we have not been anywhere since we retired over a year ago, and have never owned a trailer or camper before.

Looking forward to hearing from you and will continue to use this site.

John

from WA State!

I've been RV'ing since 1957 when I was 10 years old. Can't really help with convincing someone to get an RV since I've been at it so long.

I've done both. The advantage of the trailer is going anywhere you want and having your own stuff there.

I'm not sure there is any financial advantage. Kind of like buying a boat to go fishing. The fish are not cost effective.

Welcome. Why not rent a trailer for a short trip or two to see how everyone reacts to the new adventure.
