Another new member
Joining in with the parade of today's new members.
Long time RV'r, first camped with my folks before WWII (kind of dates me), bought my first real RV in 1964, an 8' truck camper. It served to haul my wife, two little boys and me to the east coast and back in 11 weeks. Since then a succession of used campers, used trailers, new truck camper (remember Summerwind) then to a Class C. That Forester is getting traded in on a new Roadtrek CS that should be here sometime in May.
Been on RV.net for years, Forest River's forum, and just joined the Sprinter forum as well as this one. iRV2 has been in my bookmarks for years, though. Since there seems to be some increased activity in Class B's I did decide to join.
We will be taking the RT CS on an extended trip this fall to continue my research into my grandfather's life from the Civil War to the time he moved to California. He was a deputy US Marshall in Oklahoma during the Dalton/Doolin gang era. The Sprinter will be ideal for us in being able to get around in out of the way places as well as being able to PARK in the handicapped spaces. (Knees don't function well at all).
I have been reading most of the pertinent posts and am pleased at the knowledge, civility and friendliness of the group. Although I will be a lurker most of the time, I will once in a while have a question or an answer so will speak up.
Looking forward to the Sprinter as well as interacting on this forum.
