Another Newbee
Hi Folks,
The wife and I are just getting into the RV world. We recently acquired a 2004 Four Winds Hurricane that we plan to use in our touring. We are still working on maintenance and upgrades and hope to start our travels in a few weeks. We don't have any specific plans; like most people we will do whatever fits the budget..

Welcome to the forum and to RV'ing in your recently purchased Hurricane.
It might be a good idea to make your maiden voyage a shorter trip. That way you can determine items that you need, but don't have...and items that you have, but don't need. More over minor repairs, if needed, are much easier at home than on the road.
Travel safely and enjoy the journey. Nothing but happy memories yet to be made!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and the good advice.
As mentioned, maintenance and up grades are our current priorities; we have scheduled shop time this week for new tires, brake inspection and engine service.. Acting on advice I received earlier, I'll hold off on alignment until we have aboard more of our expected load..
Thus far, upgrades have been limited to replacing the CRT TV with a flat screen and installing a dash blanket / cover to help protect from sun damage. We have also added some foam vent insulators to aid in interior climate control.
I haven't been able to locate an Owner's Manual for this rig, so I am using the manual for the 2008 Hurricane as a guide. I would really like to have proper drawings our 2004's plumbing and schematics of her electrical circuits. I am also trying to find a replacement for the fog lamp assembly that broke away from the mounting bracket.
Your continued recommendations and advice are always welcome.
Duke
