Another Newbie
I am looking into purchasing my first trailer and am overwhelmed by the number of choices. I think I have narrowed it down to a Panther or Cougar. Is there anything I should know before I take the big plunge. I am looking at about a 24', but there are so many brands I am in floor plan / brand overload. Any suggestions?

We need to know more about your truck. Brand, year, engine size, etc.
Also where you live...we may be able to suggest dealers or shows to attend.
In general the more RV's you look at the better it is. Once you've looked at about a 100 or so you'll start to get a feel for what you like.
Have you ever used an RV? Sometimes it's wise to rent an RV for a week and it will sharpen your mind as to what you want and DON'T want.
Also the one that both you and your mate walk into and both of you say "WOW, I like this!" That is the most important thing.

Glad to have you here with us.
No one can tell you what kind of RV you should have. It has to feel good to YOU! Even though it may be an arduous task looking at many models, or attending some RV shows is the only way you'll know what's right for you.
The suggestion to rent for a couple weekends is a good idea. You'll understand what is important to you and what's not.
Best of luck with your search. Happy Trails!!

I have a 2014 F-150 4x4 truck. We have rented small trailers and know we needed something larger than 18'. We live in Cedar City, UT at 6,000 ft elevations. Lots of mountains and deserts nearby.
Thanks for the input.

Hello and Welcome to the forum from Kentucky. Lots of looking at pictures and discussing your "wants, likes and dislikes" with DW. (If you are so attached.) Determine your max towing GVW (I like to keep that at @75% of your truck's listed towing capacity) and it will give you a good idea as to the sizes available. Narrowing down is always helpful. When you think you've found one, go look at that model in the flesh. Many times I have narrowed my search only to find that once I stepped into my choice camper, I determined it wasn't going to work for me or DW nixed the choice.
