Hi all! Have been looking at RVs for most of my adult life and finally purchased; my wife and I are so excited!!! I grew up RVing as a kid. We had an old 19' TEC Class C that couldn't get out of it's own way and then upgraded to an Winnebago Brave Class A gas which I believe was 23'. Wish I could have done it when my kids were younger but now at least we can tailgate with teenagers! Bought a 2012 Serrano 34M. Shortest bath and a half that I know of. We just love the European styling and the floorplan. Has full body paint in Scarlet and Grey (Go Buckeyes!). Drove it home from VA; first tank I ran 70-75 mph and got 10 mpg. Second tank I pulled it back to 1500 rpm which was about 65-68 mph and got 11 mpg. Although it is a front engine diesel it was remarkably quiet with no excess heat from the doghouse like our gas one had as a kid and seems to have plenty of power (will often be hauling an enclosed motorcycle trailer). Headed to Elkhart to MasterTech RV in 2 weeks for a bunch of upgrades. Planning on putting some money into this older unit and keeping for a long time; it is different and unique!
Would love to talk with any other Serrano owners, feel free to reach out:
