pulling our 27' forest river TT. would anyone have a recomendation as to a nice rv park for these girls to get reservations? this trip (being their 1st time alone) it would be great if they could get some set-up assistance from the property management/ owners.

You didn't say where they are coming from...
If they come through Lexington, the Kentucky Horse Park has a very nice campground. Kentucky Horse Park | Camping in the Park - Dates of Operation & Rates
I'm not sure if you could get any management help with setup, but the nearby campers might give a hand if asked.

If they are going to the quilting museum and Hancock Fabrics, you're lucky you don't have to go too! (been to both places multiple times...)
We stayed at Duck Creek one time (much closer) and Prizer Point right on Lake Barkley another time (much further but much nicer).
Either campground would help with set up and other campers would give the girls all the advice they need!

Hi Tom & Katharine- THANKS ever so much for the rv park suggestions
the girls have been wanting to attend the annual padukah AQS convention/show for years . . . so now with our TT, they are making long-range plans to take full advantage of the opportunity

For the quilt festival, the area will be quite full. Kentucky Dam State Park has nice sites with electric, not sure about water. Hillman Ferry in Land between the lakes is very nice, we stay often and really like there. There is a newer COE campground up by the canal right below Grand rivers on the Trace. Have not stayed there yet. A bit further down is Columbus-Belmont State Park, small, but one of the best. Last time we stayed at KDSP, there were a number of floks there for the quilt festival. Also coming from NC, be sure to allow an extra day and stay at the Horse Park in Lexington. From there you can get on the Parkway (i don't remember which one, and go all the way to Paducah on very good lightly travelled four-lane parkway.
