AZ Dog Show Mom w/Converted Van

Hello all! The title pretty much says it all. I've returned to the Show Ring after almost 25 yrs absence, bought an older HiRise Converted Chevy Van, got it mechanically sound and now we (my dog and I) are out on the road, travelling as much as possible to various Dog Shows. My dog: Rhodesian Ridgeback & will be 3 later this year. I originally got him as a Show Dog but he has developed into the worlds most incredible Service Dog so that's his primary function on a daily basis now. But, he's also in the Show Ring working his way towards his AKC Championship & about 1/3 of the way there now. He's also earned his CJC (Canine Good Citizen), his JC (Jr Courser) title and was just recently nominated for AKC's Humane Fund ACE Award in the Service Dog category. The ACE Award is a pretty big deal (sort of like the Red Carpet for dogs) and I'm very proud of him for this. Essentially we 'camp' in parking lots over weekends with about 2,500-5,000 other dogs & dog people throughtout the US! Comfort & functioning is of primary concern, thus I've joined this forum to "keep up with the Jones" re the most up-do-date accessories, tips & tricks.

Welcome to IRV2! We're happy that you joined us!

WOW! That's an impressive dog you've got there! If he can tree a coon we could use him down here! Keep up the good work!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks for the welcomes! In answer to questions... my dog's name is "Jack" (Calico Ridge Jack of Hearts JC CGC). He can't tree a coon, ... but Ridgebacks hunt lions ~ would that count?? hee,hee I'll try to get some pics posted of him.
