Blue Ox bed saver issues

I'm new to the forum.
2 weeks ago we ordered the Blue Ox bed saver for our 16k Reese Slider.
it came as promised and as soon as it was inspected I went on line ad registered the unit for warranty.
problem is - the unit doesn't fit my 16K slider because the bolt pattern is wrong for spacing.

The 4101 unit on the box says it fits the 14 to 15 k slider and the install manual bearing the same part number states it fits the 14 to 16K slider.

The seller won't take it back unless I pay for return shipping of the incorrect one stating that this is Blue Ox's issue with the confusing data. Then the retailer wants me to pay for the shipping of the new correct unit

Blue Ox is trying to understand what happened.
They state that I have to go through the dealer while my truck bed is unprotected.
the Rep from Blue Ox offered me the install for the 4106 model and within 2 minutes on the phone told me that too was the incorrect model for my slider part number, that the correct model was the 4108 bed saver.

I see other posts (older) that have stated they contacted the VP for Blue Ox and had some success.
If anyone has any suggestions as to what to do that would be awesome.
I am also a Good Sam club member and i hear they have a mediation process for things like this.

Clearly on the paperwork Blue Ox has gotten something wrong. I hope it will work in my favour because if they can't figure it out how is the dealer supposed to get it right?
