Brand new form N TX
Hi all, we are brand new, actually haven't even picked out a trailer yet.
I was going to rent one for a long weekend first but we have decided that we just need to go ahead and plunge in head first. Good idea, bad idea?
We will be looking at 24-28 foot trailers and probably a Jayco. It will be new and we want to have it for retirement in 5 or so years.
Since I have never even backed up a trailer before, should I really worry about the length or are all in that size really close to the same to drive / backup?
I am sure I will be reading and have tons of questions.

Glad to have you here with us.
It is a good idea to rent for the long weekend. By doing that you will find out the things that are important to you. This will aid you in deciding of the exact trailer you need and want.
Best of luck and Happy Trails!!!

Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!
Hope you find the right camper for your needs! It's actually easier to back a longer trailer than a short one!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
