Brand new to the RV World
Hi everyone, My wife and I just ordered our new fifth wheel. We bought a Heartland Landmark Key Largo, we should have it by the middle of May. We are really excited.
Both of us recently retired and are looking to forward to just take off and go where the wind takes us.
One question I have is deciding how to pick RV parks along our routes, any suggestions?
Thanks for your help and hope we'll get to meet everyone somewhere

Hi folks! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!
Congrats on the new 5er and the recent retirement! We pulled a 5er for 10 years before getting the MH last year. We loved it!
As for the RV parks, I would get a copy of the Trailer Life Campground Directory as a start. Then when you will be traveling and pick out a park to stay in, go to RVParkRevies.com and look for comments on that park.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless! If you ever get in our neck of the woods give us a call!

congrats on the rig and agree on the trailer life directory. I also go to the Good Sam site and look up parks in an area we may need a private park and look at the rating.

Welcome to the site and lifestyle. I'm also new to both. Someone recommended an iPhone app called "AllStays Camp and RV"
It's not a free app but I haven't regretted the cost. Cheaper and more complete than any printed directory I've seen and far, far easier to use.

Welcome to IRV2. We use campgroundreviews.com as well as a few directories already mentioned. You could search here at IRV2 just using a City and chances are you'll find information. You can always start a new thread asking about referrals for any location you want. Enjoy.

If you own a smartphone, read iPhone, you can get the GS Camping app. It's from Good Sam and I find it to be most helpful.

Welcome aboard. we also use Trailer Life Directory and RVParkReviews to confirm whter the park has any issues. we also don't stay in campgrounds that don't have at least a rating of 8.0
